DigiMad is a social business that is committed to using technology as a tool for social inclusion and economic advancement. With Nepal's IT sector facing a shortage of skilled professionals and marginalized youth, particularly Dalits, lacking access to high-paying jobs, we address these disparities by providing customized IT training programs. Our initiatives include intensive skill development, mentorship, entrepreneurial support, and job placement assistance to equip marginalized youth for successful tech careers. Our approach helps businesses reduce recruitment costs, foster innovation, and build a diverse and inclusive tech sector.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower marginalized youth, especially Dalits, with essential IT skills and support their journey into the tech industry. By providing high-quality training and fostering entrepreneurship, we aim to contribute to Nepal's growing IT sector and promote social equity.

Empower 5000 youth with digital technology skills and nurture 100 entrepreneurs who will drive positive change within their communities.

Breaking barriers, building bridges

What We Do ?

Empowering Marginalized Youth:

We equip Dalit and other marginalized youths with in-demand IT skills training, mentorship, job placement assistance and entrepreneurial support to help Dalit youth overcome barriers and access opportunities in technology.

Curriculum Development:

We are working to develop a comprehensive IT skills curriculum and aspire to lobby for its certification with the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT). Our aim is to contribute to the creation of a nationally recognized curriculum that aligns with industry standards and prepares graduates for successful careers.

DigiMad collaborates with local communities to develop technology-driven solutions for pressing issues.

Apprenticeship Program

Program Overview:

We implement a Apprenticeship model that combines technical school-based training with practical, on-the-job experience.

Structure:

The program includes an initial three to six-month institute-based training at DigiMad, followed by a 6-month industry-based training at partner IT companies.

Partner Role:

Our partners provide hands-on training, mentorship, and guidance, ensuring that trainees gain valuable industry experience.

Formalization:

A tripartite agreement between DigiMad, the partner, and each apprentice formalizes the apprenticeship, creating a structured and supportive training environment.

Digital nomads, students, and entrepreneurs come together through DigiMad. Our initiatives spark innovation, generate ideas, and create lasting impact. Join us on this exciting journey!

Digital Nomads and Changemakers Unite

Community Engagement:

We collaborate with local communities to develop tech-driven solutions for real-world challenges, fostering innovation and positive social impact.

Building a Network:

We bring together a vibrant community of digital enthusiasts, students, entrepreneurs, and changemakers to drive innovation and support one another.

Co-Working/Living Facility:

Our upcoming Co-working/Living space will connect digital professionals and offer a collaborative environment, providing subsidized access to our programs and removing financial barriers for Dalit youth.

Co-Founder

Pradip Pariyar, co-founder of DigiMad, is a dedicated social activist and advocate for marginalized communities, notably Dalit youth. As the leader and founder of the Dalit Lives Matter Global Alliance movement, Pradip has dedicated his career to promoting social justice and equality. His significant achievements, including recognition as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and receiving the Asia's 21 Young Leaders Award, highlight his impact on global youth leadership and social change. With a background as the Executive Chairperson of the Samata Foundation and numerous accolades for his advocacy, Pradip leverages his expertise at DigiMad to bridge the digital divide by enhancing digital literacy, equipping Dalit youth with IT skills, and fostering entrepreneurial opportunities, all aimed at creating a more inclusive digital future for Nepal.
